How many known common colds are there?!
Question: In reality probably just 1 per se from it's medical term: acute pharingoamigdalitis.
The catch is that there's a lot of viruses (which accoutn for 90% of common colds) that cause it, but the disease acts the same with most viruses. Just a handful oddball viruses that cause the disease to act differently.
If the cold lasts for more than 10 days, it's probable it's a bacterial infection and man are they a pain in the rear the kill. I know because I've gotten it twice. >_<
