What are the medicinal properties of silver?!
Question: My mom has been going to an alternative medicines type class and is now raving about the medical uses of silver. She was talking about how silver cured malaria? or something of the sort.
So yeah, I was just wondering if silver has any real medical value. I tried wikipedia'ing it, but it didn't seem very conclusive.

Colloidal silver is a very powerful bacteriostatic agent that is supposed to be capable of killing 650 different pathogens if you believe that claim.
It is useless, according to our CS.
