Hand sanitizer is it good for your health?!


Question: I am a teacher and I have a big bottle of it in the classroom, but I notice some students overuse it and I don't want them to get sick because of that

It can be bad. Im a complete obsessive about it so Im being really hypocritical here.
But I used to much of Vick First Defense (150ish squirts in 4 (ish) days) and the skin on my hands completely peeled, like I had a massive sunburn, it didn't hurt but its ugly.

Nah, its okay. We use it all the time. Just long as there not eating it...! lol

I have heard that overusing will dry out the skin and make it more susceptible to breaks and tears. Then germs/bacteria can enter through the small breaks. In our K class the kids wash hands after the bathroom and sanitize before lunch.
