Answers: after an operation do i get ordinary sick pay and occupational sick pay or only one?

Your 'sick pay'from work normally has an element of both. You wouldn't notice this however until you go onto half pay.

Your payslip will show you what has been paid - it should detail both OSP and SSP

Hope you have a speedy recovery, make sure you send in doctor's certificates for the duration of your absence and keep in touch with your work

Depends on your company's policy - ask your personnel.

Only one. Your employer gets the ordinary sick pay to pay you.

depends if your company provides any sick pay on top of statutory sick pay. check with the HR/Personnel deparmtnet for more info.

I'd say depends on company. Some pay full wages - some just SSP. If op. is due to a work related injury - they should pay full pay I would think!

Usually only one or the other. If you get occupational sick pay, your employer will continue to pay you in the usual manner, but will then claim the statutory sick pay from the government using either your self certifying sick line (if you're off more than three days and up to one week) or a doctors certificate of illness for longer periods.
