Answers: my seven year old broke her femur playing normally. it don't see why it broke.

Unfortunately there is not a pat answer for a young boy breaking a bone. But, fractures occur by either falling into or onto something. Say jumping from a tree, running full speed into something stationary, or something of weight falling on top of someone. If he was playing "normally" then you might find out if he has a calcium deficiency or some other health related reason for his bone to fracture so easily. While it is highly unlikely, he might need to take calcium to help with this problem. Obviously you need to speak to his physician about this concern. Good luck to you both.

well, i take the old leg, prop my foot up in a vice, take a shot of whiskey and then go to town on that thing with a crowbar, usually does the trick

That's a bad question.

It is very difficult to break a femur,it is the strongest bone in the body. i don't mean to judge or alarm you, but it is commonly associated with child abuse ,of course not always.just something to be aware of if other adults spend time with your child.
