Rashes are usually heat symptoms. I would press around and on the rash to feel for tenderness, if so, then you have a blockage on the meridian.....press and massage until tenderness is gone. Chemicals in foods and the environment can be the cause and frequently are. You may have gotten a whiff of something and your body is cleansing itself through the skin. In Chinese Medicine they speak about being out in the wind and getting wind wheels which actually looks like a wheel under the skin that is red and blotchy....colds within a week are common. That's my guess without seeing it.
Could it be a food alergy? I found my rash to be caused by milk of all things. Not lactos intollerant either but something in the milk caused me to develop a rash. Get it checked.
