That sounds like bronchitis. You will need to see a doctor and get on an antibiotic and maybe an inhaler to help break that mucus up. Please don't wait too long. Bronchitis can turn into pneumonia if it isn't treated. I hope you feel better soon.

Try using Buckley's. It will clear out the stuff that's in your chest. If you can't stomach that try putting a spoonful of Vick's into the sink with boiling water. Put a towel around your head so you are in essence breathing only the vapours coming out of the sink. It's a horrible feeling but really works.
Then go to bed. You'll feel better in the morning.
If in doubt go to the doctor, depends on how long you've had it. Take an expectorant to help break it up and spit it out.
