Stomach pain- virus?!
Question: About 2 weeks ago I started having sometimes dull-sometimes sharp pain in the middle of my lower stomach. Then that night I work up with violent vomiting and diarrhea and was sick for 2 days. I went to the dr. and was told it was a stomach virus and the pain could be my lower intestines rejecting the food and cramping up.
So, this past Thursday night I had that same pain in my stomach, a fever up to 102 degrees, and again was sick all night and all day Friday. It seemd like food poisoning to me, but the last time the dr. said it wasn't that since I had a fever.
I didn't go back to the dr. this time since it was a holiday weekend, but I'm wondering if this could be something else. What could cause that pain in my stomach and all the other symptoms as well?
I am still having the mostly dull/sometimes sharp pain right in the middle of my lower stomach, but the other symptoms are gone. Oh, and it isn't a menstral cycle thing, the timing is off.
Any ideas/advice/suggestion

My advise to you is to return back to the doctor, because from all the symptoms that you describe sounds more like "food poisoning", then a stomach virus.
Would not go to the emergency room as the doctors will just get mad with you, being that you temp. is only 102 degress. If it climbs to around 104 or 105 then for sure you need to get to the emergency room right away.
If you do have food poisoning a blood work needs to be performed to determine the type and possible cause.

it just might be a virus i spent three days in bed with a fever that wouldn't go down because of it ... but give it time the virus will go away u might wanna check 4 antibiotics by callin ur doctor or stick with nyquil ...
