If a 14 year old works out, will he/she not grow?!

Question: He/she will grow extra muscles but he/she will not gain any extra height. He/she will eventually peak at the same height regardless of whether or not he/she works out.

Plenty of protein, calcium and zinc will help your DESTINED NORMAL growth and a deficiency can STUNT it.

no, i probably grown more since i worked out but it will affect your muscles if u train to hard

why wouldn't they? that is their puberty height where everything starts going into action and eventually they will grow into their adult bodies. but if you mean working out as in weights, i wouldn't say 100 lbs, more like 10 or 20 but not extensively. treadmil? they run at school. well, don't they have p.e./gym at school? but don't push them to the point that they will burn out. i don't think that's really healthy.

i'd wait until they were 16 to start actually working out because their bodies will be more mature to handle it

14 y.o. will grow...but don't bulk up too much & make sure you are eating enough protein; fruits, veggies; carbohydrates; oils etc.

Take a good multi vitamin/mineral.
