Why do people snort when they laugh???!
Question: I snort when I laugh, I don't want to change this though, it gets on peoples nerves... but i would just like to know how or why it is people snort when they laugh. its not like evry two seconds, sometimes i dont snort, but other times there mite be 1 snort per laugh if you know what i mean..
but anyway, does anyone know why? and is it bad?

Well, it is not anythign really scientific if you are wondering.
If you laugh, you are basically exhaling and inhaling, correct?
While inhaling, the nasal passages may not be clear. Therefore, a snorting or grunting sound is produced.
the same concept of a snoring person.

because their parents dropped them on their head so now they have trouble breathing...

I do that occasionally too... I just think it's the intake of air as you are laughing that vibrates your nose.
Haha I <3 to do that just to freak out ppl around me... It's so fun! And I don't think it's bad... but I dunno why some ppl do that...lolz

because its hard for them to get oxygen, they are not fully like others.
I SNORT! ugh it is so weird! but i am not embarresed by it because it is just a part of me and who i am. but i want to know this question too. =]]
it must be a habbit. they could of gotten it from a parent or grandparent. i dont snort but my best friend does but only when she is craking up.
My friend, that is just a sign of a goo laugh. It means that you are laughing hard and are forcing the air through your nose. Don't sweat it. You have a good laugh, and it shows when you snort. Embrace the snort.

it isnt bad, its just the way that air passes through your nose instead of your mouth! no big deal, adn it makes ppl laugh! lol :-]
I THINK PPL SNORT WHEN THEY SNORT BCUSE THE JOKE BE REAL FUNNY SO THEY SNORT OR THEY SNORT BECAUSE THEY DO IT 2 GET ON PPL NERVES

huh. probbaly cause air is going up ur nose too quickly.
My own theory is that when they laugh, something has humored them. The humor feels good, ergo the laugh feels good. However, when you laugh, the humor escapes you. You want that good feeling to last so you snort it back in. Yes that's it.
