Why do women still insist on smoking/drinking when they have a child growing in !

Question: It makes me sick. I understand it must be hard to quit smoking but you should be doing whatever it takes to keep your unborn child healthy...

That's why I'm waiting one year after I stop smoking to have a baby... I regret even starting, but it was hard growing up in a family of smokers.

They are so selfish to abuse the little baby.

Just think what they will do when it is born. The smoke will make ear infections, and breathing problems.

Because they're addicted to them

More than likely, either they're stupid or they can't afford an abortion. If you have excellent connections, but may be fairly easy to claim child support on a child long after he/she has died. If the mother didn't want the child in the first place (maybe from a man they'd rather forget about), drinking, smoking and ODing would make sense.

Either way, they're probably stupid.
