Has this ever happened to anyone? Is it normal?!

Question: Sometimes, the inside middle area of my foot gets an unbearable pain it it and the skin pops in, almost like something inside of the foot is sucking it in. Even when I am just sitting or lying down, and not doing anything. Has this ever happened to any of you? Is it normal?

It called spurs (fallen arches). It is the tendons contracting and it is quite painful. I suffered from them as a result of working food retail and standing and walking on hard surfaces all day. I finally went to a podiatrist (Foot Doctor) and he created orthodics (molded supports worn in the shoe).
I'm not sure what kind of work or activity you do but your shoes and the surface can cause this. If you have medical insurance check with them and see what coverage you have.
My treatment made an immediate difference.

might wanna get that checked out....

Kinda sounds like a charlie horse(cramp)

yeah its muscle spasms, i get them alot.
i get it in my calf too.

if its really painfu;, or happens alot you can get muscle relaxents to help.

but its normal do not worry.

ya, just a cramp.
It is VERY painful and usually happens when im just relaxing on the couch. Just wait it out, some will last longer than others but they will end soon enough, but they suck until then haha

Now I'm not an advocate of adding too much salt into a normal healthy lifestyle, but like you I also experience these crazy cramps and my father has ALWAYS told me that I'm not getting enough salt in my diet. Anyway, because I don't like adding salt into my food I have never taken his advice but you might find this helpful?

But hey I think that if you really want the best possible answer then consult a doctor!
