Strep throat (AE),or streptococcal sore throat is a form of group A streptococcal infection that affects the pharynx and possibly the larynx and tonsils.

Streptococcus infection of the throat. Sore throat. Not too serious, treat by regime of oral hygiene (brush teeth after every meal and gargle with anti-bacterial mouth-wash such as TCP) and ensure you do not feed the bacteria with sugar from cough sweets, cough syrups, chewing gum or mints. It will soon pass.
