Is it normal for your throat to bleed after you get your tonsils taken out?!


Question: i got my tonsils taken out last on march 20th and it started bleeding today but stopped after about 30 minutes.

A little bit of bleeding is normal past day 10. I really think it is to soon for you to have any bleeding yet. On day 10 your scabs begin to fall off and might cause some light bleeding. You should call your doctor, even after hours the answering service will conect you to a doctor that is on call and they will be able to give you directions on what to do. I had to do this on day 11 because I was bleeding.
