13 years old.... Why do i have so much gas?!


Question: i sit in school and i have so much gas and i hold it in (sorry for the TMI) and then my stomache growls like crazy! i think ppl in my class can hear it!?!? helpp?

Did you know that carbonated soft drinks can really make this much worse? Also, eating a lot of fruits and veggies can cause it. You probably need to eat a balanced breakfast before school, that should help. You may also be lactose intolerant.

There are foods and beverages that cause gas to form in your gut. By eliminating them from your diet, you may minimize the noises.

The foods include beans, broccoli, cauliflower, cabbage/cole slaw, brussels sprouts, all carbonated beverages, and coffee, regular or decaf. Eating a lot of any vegetable fiber (salad, large serving of veggies) causes gas in some people.

Another cause of rumbling can be an empty stomach. Try eating something small, like a low-fat yogurt.

As a last resort, products like Gas-X and Beano can help.

You may have a mild form of gastritis. Let your primary care doctor know asap.

Erm same here i have the same problem its really embarrasing then you start to smell when you hold it in. Hope you get an answer.

Do you have your period yet? You could be bloated from getting your period .. if it's not that you probably eat foods that cause that .. or have something wrong but it doesn't sound like a big deal .. I would go to the doctor for it and they can tell you what foods not to eat or give you medicine if you need it. Don't be embarrassed it's not your fault.

omg! i have that problem too, and im 14 years old btw. i realiszed that if i eat oranges when i come home, i am able to go to the bathroom later at night, and then feel better the next morning but sometimes [a lot of the times] i dont eat healthy and then it makes it even worse, but i have a sugar problem. make sure u go to the bathroom each day, and in school if u have to [even though i dont no matter how hard it is to hold it in..unless i really really really have to go...i just dont like public bathrooms]
