What's wrong with my 2 month old... Do we need to bring her to the ER??? PLE!

Question: My 2 month old neice was doing fine yesterday afternoon until last night. She was crying and fussing. When anyone carries her she would start to cry and she had a fever of 101.2 and it went up to 102.8 just this afternoon. She threw up 5 times today and wouldnt eat anything. Her stomach is some what bloating like she is fat or something; it sticks out and it's pretty big. Her stomach was never that big until my brother (her father) realized it this afternoon.
What is happening to her? Is it some sort of flu or is it something we need to bring her to the ER???
Please can anyone help meeee!!!

Has anyone in your household had a stomach virus, or any related symptoms? I think you should always bring a child to see a doctor with fever over 101. If she continues vomiting, or if her vomiting is very forceful (called projectile vomiting) bring her to see a doctor right away! It could be anything from a stomach virus to pyloric stenosis,(which requires surgery), or an intestinal obstruction. Do not wait to see a doctor if she has been vomiting for 24 hours, or longer, as babies can get dehydrated very quickly, and get extremely ill. If in doubt, call your local hospital's ER, speak to an RN (preferably a pediatric one) and tell her your baby's symptoms. She needs to go to a doctor if these symptoms are lasting > 24 hours. Hope it's nothing too serious, and that she is well soon.

First off why are you asking this on the net, you should have hauled your *** and the baby right to the ER.

CALL THE AMBULANCE SHE COULD DIE`````

I haven't even read the details to your question yet because the heading says all I need to know. Don't ask questions! JUST GO!! If it's nothing then go back home but if not you could be risking your infant's health! GO!!!

OOOOOOOHHHHH.... now that I've read the details, I've changed my mind. You are hilarious. Nice to see you have nothing else to do with your time. You must be so proud - what a productive life!

this does not look like the flu, better take her in, she is still very young so better safe than sorry.

GET HER TO THE ER, YOU NEVER KNOW WITH LITTLE ONES, GOOD LUCK TO YOU.

Take child to er throwing up and not eating arnet good signs espeiclly in a lil 1.

first of all, the fever is a good enough reason to take her. second of all, if she threw up 5 times and wont eat, that's an even better reason to go. third, i think if you have no reason why her stomach is swelling while she is not eating and you still didn't take her to the hospital, you may not be the smartest of people.

you should have taken her yesterday.

I hope you have already left. Please let us know that she is okay. Best wishes.

It sounds like she needs to go in, call her pediatrition or just take her in, don't waste time on here, if she is that sick.

take her to ER,sounds like a bowel blockage.
