Is there a difference if someone is shocked from a power strip as opposed to an !

Question: I was unplugging my computer and somehow i accidently stuck my thumb in the socket. My hand felt pretty tingley for a minute and i felt a little lightheaded for a second. I was wondering if there would have been any difference if i had accidently stuck my thumb in the outlet on the wall instead of the outlet on the powerstrip?
