What can happen if you consume the chemicals in a glowstick?!


Question: My brother swallowed it today accidentily and i want to know what can happen. This was written on the package which the glow stick came in:

SAFETY WARNING.

Keep product in original package until ready to use.Do not puncture or cut plastic tube. Contents of tube are non-toxic and non-flammable, but may stain clothing or furniture.Contact with skin or eyed may cause discomfort ; rinse thoroughly with water.Do not drink or injest the contents.Do not leave light stick in direct sunlight or exposed to high temperature.


The above was written on the package.As I said,my brother bit the stick and consumed some of the chemicals.Please tell me what can happen to him.I am begging you to help me in this situation.I really need to know.Thanx.

if it is non-toxic, he should be fine. he might puke or something, but he wont die.

How long ago was this? You should try and make him throw up if you dont want to call a doc? I really couldnt tell you the reactions. He he...maybe he will start to glow for a few days. That would be kinda funny(only if things were fine and no one was hurt...of course).

He should have gone to the doctor or hospital A.S.A.P. instead of posting a question on here! You should get him checked out tomorrow if not sooner, they don't put warning labels on products for the he** of it! It may have SERIOUS side effects or may not, but he shouldn't not see at least some sort of legally certified medical practitioner about this, and soon!!!
