Fainting, dizzy, black out - when standing up?!

Question: I am a teenager and i grew 20cm in three years which i know is pretty incredible - im 6 ft tall.
I was just wondering. every single time i get up from a chair or bend or after bending down, and i mean EVERY single time, i feel dizzy and my legs get really tingly and i black out. usually i just lose control of my limbs for a while and cant see but sometimes i faint and wake up a few moments later on the floor.

my chriopractor said to get up slowly and keep your head up - its just the blood pressure adjusting.
but that doesnt usually help!!

i get up really slowly and i still see black!

should i see my doctor/GP?

my mum thinks ive got low blood pressure cause im tall and i should just move more slowly.

what should i do?

it is called orthostatic hypotension. which is basically a drastic drop in blood pressure when switching positions. i would see a doctor.

This happens to me when I get up too quickly. My vision blurs and I get very sharp pains in myhead. I think it is the blood pressure, just get up slower than slow. It should help. I dont think your height has anything to do with it. Im only five five and this happens frequently

Yes you have dangerously low blood pressure. Have you had any regular heart stengthening exercises?
