I have been a nurse for 15 yrs and No not just anyone can do it. You have to have alot of empathy for others, you have to care about others and want to help others. On the other hand you have to be able to let it go also. One cannot take their work home with them either. Unfortunately people who dont have those qualities do become nurses and the ones t hat suffer are the sick patients that depend on them....have been on that side of it also.

I love what I do and would not change a thing.

No. Yes if they have the desire to. Nursing is not an easy program. I have aunts that are nurses and love it. They recommend it highly. There is a lot you can do.

Absolutely not!! There are so many bad nurses out there because it's "just a job" to them. Nurses need to be compassionate and remember to treat people the way they'd want to be treated as a patient.

Eventually, every job will turn into "just a job" if you grow tired of it.

Everyone can train to become a nurse, but dedication is inclusive to being good nurse. The ability to tolerate extremely stressful situations is not a trait that everyone possesses. So, no, I do not feel that anyone can be a nurse.
