Anyone Know Why your ankles would swell after wearing socks?!

Question: im overweight.could that b y?

Answers: im overweight.could that b y?

it could be water retension, some doctors recommend you go on diaretics to treat the symptoms rather than the problem, your body stores water (water retension) because it tries to save what it can (like a camel in the desert) and store it in the body because its not getting enough, diaretics deplete the body of water which is treating the symptom and not the problem. i recommend drinking 64oz of a water (so does every nutritionist i've seen, and book i've read) until your body realizes it is getting enough water and doesn't need to store water any longer.

by the way, my mother had this and she was/is overweight, im majoring in nutrition, and have read up on this.

it's probably just because the elastic is too tight and it's cutting off a bit of circulation...it's not a big deal and they'll be back to normal in a little while.

Hi,It could be that your sox are too tight for you,I would try the more loose fitting ones.Being overweight may contribute to this as you may have a bit of fluid in your legs.Try the other sox first and then if this doesnt help,go and see your doctor and have some tests done,at least then you will know either way.

The top of your socks are to tight around your ankles.
