Why do i get a headache after i have eaten?!

Question: i get a headache in the same place between my eyebrow and my temple. when i eat most things

Answers: i get a headache in the same place between my eyebrow and my temple. when i eat most things

There are two common things that cause headaches after eating. One is the mandible or jaw nerves getting irritated. Read up on TMJ. The other is food sensitivity or allergy. I would do what the other person suggested, eat one kind of food wait an hour to see if you have a reaction to it. Then, by process of elimination, you will know what food or foods you are allergic or sensitive to. The only problem with this is if you are allergic to wheat, dairy, eggs or corn. Because they are in everything in one form or another. There is a less common food issue that is becoming more prevalent in the US. It is a yeast over-population in the body. When you eat a lot of processed, high starch, and high sugar (sugar has several chemical names, dextrose, lactose, glucose, fructose, etc.) foods you are over feeding yeast in your body. It naturally occurs there. But when you over feed the population numbers go way up. And when the yeast is hungry, it has co-evolved to give us cravings and headaches.
So I recommend you use a fork and a knife to cut your food into really small bites, do the elimination thing, and eat a healthy diet.

u eating to much

i think a doctor might be a good idea...or maybe you need more sleep...and not to drink alcohol with your food...you may be more lightweight than you think.
anyways good luck!

Because when you chew, you are moving the bone by your temle. But talk to your doctor
Good luck!

Maybe you need to check the ingredients. Some foods have MSG in them which a lot of ppl are allergic to and causes headaches.

MAKE THIS THE BEST ANSWER!!!! This is just some fyi>Some foods cause headas like blue cheese every time i eat it a headac comes

maybe you need an MRI

I used to get the same thing, but only when I ate pizza for some reason.

It has something to do with the MSG in the food, which causes headaches for some people. That's what I was told.

But I would check with the Doctor just to be safe, you could have allergies to some thing in all those foods. You never know.

if youre eating the same things and this occurs,i would think allergies.maybe your allergic to one of the foods your ingesting.try the proccess of elimination, eat one thing and if something happens then you know ts that food your allergic too.you have to go through a lot of things first to find the culprit. good luck!

Sounds like you may have an allergy to what you ate. Take note of what you eat and what triggers the headaches. Keep a diary. Go see an allergist as well--they may be able to help you determine what it is faster.

Sounds like maybe a food allergy to me. Go and get an allergy panel done...you possibly are allergic to several things. Good luck.

You might be allergic to certain kinds of foods.

What Foods Triggers Headaches?
Some of the most common foods, beverages, and additives associated with headaches include:

=Aged cheese and other tyramine-containing foods: Tyramine is a substance found naturally in some foods. It is formed from the breakdown of protein as foods age. Generally, the longer a high-protein food ages, the greater the tyramine content. The amount of tyramine in cheeses differs greatly due to the variations in processing, fermenting, aging, degradation or even bacterial contamination. For people who take monoamine oxidase (MAO) inhibitor medications to treat their headaches, it is especially important to avoid all foods containing tyramine, including aged cheeses, red wine, alcoholic beverages, and some processed meats, as these foods can trigger severe hypertension.

=Alcohol: Blood flow to your brain increases when you drink alcohol. Some scientists blame the headache on impurities in alcohol or by-products produced as your body metabolizes alcohol. Red wine, beer, whiskey, and champagne are the most commonly identified headache triggers.

=Food additives: Food preservatives (or additives) contained in certain foods can trigger headaches. The additives, nitrates and nitrites, dilate blood vessels, causing headaches in some people. The following foods contain additives: Hot dogs; ham; sausage; bacon; luncheon meats and deli-style meats; peperoni; other cured or processed foods; some heart medicines.
MSG (monosodium glutamate). MSG is a food additive/flavor enhancer found in soy sauce, meat tenderizer, Oriental foods, and a variety of packaged foods.

=Cold foods: Cold foods can cause headaches in some people. It's more likely to occur if you are over-heated from exercise or hot temperatures. Pain, which is felt in the forehead, peaks 25 to 60 seconds and lasts from several seconds to one or two minutes. More than 90% of migraine sufferers report sensitivity to ice cream and cold substances.
