How can I get my stomach to feel better?!

Question: I guess you could say I have "extreme nerves" in that whenever I have to do something(such as go to someone's birthday party, go out to eat, go on a date, go to class at college, etc.) my stomach goes crazy. My stomach starts to get really nauseous and I feel like I'm going to throw up until I am out of that situation. Along with that nausea comes Diarrhea as well. I've recently tried Kaopectate for the Diarrhea but I can't seem to find ANYTHING that helps the extreme nausea. I've tried everything from natural ingredients to straight cola syrup to Pepto Bismol, etc. Is there anything you know of that can help such intense nausea?

The same thing happens to me all the time, I get so stressed over having to go out or deadlines for work I feel ill, after a while start dry-wretching and/or having reflux and on a few occasions I got the runs thing aswell. What I found helped me was putting a peppermint tea bag and 1 or 2 basil leaves in boiling water and steeping (leaving to 'soak out') for 2-3 minutes. I know this might sound innefective and I was VERY sceptical when I first tried it but when I did it helped soo much. Basically I felt almost completely relieved before I finished the cup. I don't know if it will work for all people but I know it was and still is a life saver for me. I hope this helps.

PEPTO IS THE WAYY TO GOO BAYBAY

have you tried talking to a therapist or something like that? teach yourself to calm down.

Upset stomach, diarrhea....

YOU KNOW IT YOU LOVE IT...

PEPTO-BISMOL!!

try munching a pinch of fennel seeds...

yoiu said it was nerves. you should be taking a mild tranquellizer like ativan (you put under your tongue, acts quickly but not long lasting), for those times when u really get upset.

it sounds like you have a fear of places, or people. or crowds.

try a cold pepsi on ice and if there are any 'burps', let em rip baby. let 'em rip.

You have a bad case of nerves my friend. I hope you will look into why you are so stressed in social situations. That cannot be much fun.

Nobody and no stomach medicine can stand up to the beating our nerves dish out. You have to calm down.

Sip flat, room temperature ginger ale. Chew on bits of candied ginger, or sip a room temp ginger tea. You can make that with 1/4-1 teaspoon of dried powdered ginger mixed in a cup of hot water, cooled and sweetened to taste. Avoid fake sweeteners, though. A viral inner ear infection can cause nausea, since it messes with the balance mechanism in the semi-circular canals, which in turn would deliver conflicting messages to the brain. If all else fails, there are meds to relieve nausea. In the meantime, try the ginger ale/candied ginger/ginger tea. You can also sometimes get ready made ginger tea at health shops, along with chamomile tea. That can also help sometimes, sipped slow. And nibble soda crackers, the old fashioned saltine type. You can also sometimes slow control breath through an episode, unless there really is something in there that needs to come up. At this point, perhaps a trip to the ENT would be of help. Presuming you are not pregnant- ear problems are the most likely explaination.

This may sound funny, but try talking to a psychologist.
Its nothing with your stomach, but with your mentality.

Im not trying to be mean...

:)

that or try
Gaviscon

Tums...:D

could be anxiety. i had it in gym class and since it was only one situation i got excused from it. since its effecting many aspects of your life, talk to your dr. about getting some anti-anxiety pills.

good luck =]

I use Gingerale and eat peppermint candies.Good luck.

spearmint tea =]

if you get nervous in everyday situations, like a birthday party or class at school, its deeper than your nerves. you should, in all sincerity, consider seeing a thyrapist, you may have a disorder. called anxiety disorder. its common in my family and you really sound like my parents talking about their experiences. dont worry it doesnt mean your crazy or anything, but you do need medication for your own health....so consider it please? theres no point in missing out because of your nerves...
