How to handle sensitivity to heat?!

Question: I live in Savannah Ga where it gets REALLY hot. Last summer, I passed out at the beach due to heat exhaustion and I almost passed out on a few other occasions. Im 20, 5'5, and 100 lbs if that helps. My question is this: How can I prevent it from happening anymore??

The biggest factor is keeping from getting dehydrated if you are sweating a lot. Be sure to drink lots of fluid on hot days.
Using a little battery powered fan which will cost under $5 is helpful. They are available with a built in spray bottle. When you spray the bottle with the fan on the mist becomes super fine so it doesn't mess up your makeup or hair but it sure feels good. You may find that kind for under $7. Walmart, Target, etc are good sources for these. Another good idea is staying aware of your bodies signals. If you start feeling weak or light headed immediately get out of the sun and drink some fluids. When it's super hot (over 100) stay indoors. Go to a movie or the mall if you don't feel like staying home or don't have an air conditioner. These things should help a lot.
