Why can't they make cough syrup/suppressants in pill form?!

Their in gel caps Robitussin makes one for sure and there are others out there and they do work

And NyQuil also in the gel caps

You could try cough drops or something like NyQuil/DayQuil gel tablets. Those can be swallowed and they relieve coughing. The syrup will work faster though.
