Auditory hallucinations while machinery is running?!

Question: Some years ago, while I was using a prescription cold medicine, I was hearing drums, bugles, and bagpipes when the refrigerator clicked on or the air conditioner was running.
The music stopped when the machinery stopped.
There is a technical term for auditory hallucinations which occur in the presence of "white noise". Does anybody know the term? I found it in a medical dictionary years ago, so I know that it exists.

I know that there is a term "psychoacoustic noise".... but I think that it refers to the actual noise that is conducive to auditory hallucination. The only thing i could find that might be similar to what you're talking about is MES or "Musical Ear Syndrome".

ETA: I kept researching for a few moments.... Apparently tinnitus (which I usually associate with "ringing" in the ears) can also be singing, or music, etc.

Drums, bugles, and bagpipes? Are you Scottish?
Same sort of thing happened to me when I was taking dimetapp.

I dont know but when I was younger I tried huffing gas and after doing so I could hear a band playing in my head with trumpets and bugles.
(No bagpipes though)
