If the egg were cooked, the chance it contained salmonella is actually pretty small. There are plenty of other nasty little gerbies which can be present in spoiled food, though, and any one of them can give you a stomach ache. At this point, there is nothing you can do but wait for your body to decide what it wants to do about it. You may throw up, which will get a lot out of the system. Then you may get diarrhea as the body tries to empty out any strays that might have escaped. If you throw up or get diarrhea, you need to stop eating and drink only clea liquids for a full 24 hours. That will do you a lot more good than all the potions and pills people take to stop them. Letting it happen is your best defense. Meantime, I would suggest you wait a while before you eat anything else. You should know within a few hours what is going to happen.

Hmmm it could but i owuld suggest having it checked out

If its food poisoning it will set in a couple hours after you eat. It will also only last a day. Drink tons of water, gatoraide and pedialite if you dont mind the taste. You might feel weak from dehydration but you shouldnt be having severe stomach pains, diarrhea, or vomiting after 24 hours or so. If you do go to the doc to get checked out. Better safe then sorry.

yes might be just food poisiong which will probably lead ot diareahha GOOD LUCK

Not enough information for a meaningful answer. How long before your symptoms did you eat the egg. Most forms of food poisoning require 2-3 days of incubation before they manifest. Salmonella has a 12-72 hour incubation period. A SMALL portion of a bad egg is unlikely to carry enough pathogen to make you ill. As well if the egg was cooked then the chances of any salmonella pathogen surviving are slim indeed. You might also note one of the defining symptoms of this disease is severe diarrhea, much more than a simply stomach ache.

I'm a Chef that is certified in food borne illness and parasites so this is my business to know. Hope you feel better.
