Exercise with scoliosis?!


Question: I have extreme neck and back pain from scoliosis. I cannot do situps, or crunches, but I need to firm up my middle section. Any ideas?

You can lay flat on the floor and just tighten your stomach muscles. You might try bridges but that might hurt your neck. I'd suggest swimming. There are back strengthening exercises that can be done in the water that don't involve laps, but do the laps to burn calories and gain overall strength if you're able.

In the forums that I hang, the ladies also like yoga and pilates.
