Dear Ped,
At first this may seem like a very silly question, but it is not.
Methane gas that is released during flatulence can be dangerous depending on the quantity and the length of exposure.
If it possible to get away to fresh air do so. If it is not you having the flatulence, but someone you know that is having it all time, has this person a medical reason for it? I don't know if you are at liberty to discuss something that is so personal with this person, without making them feel belittled or embarrassed because it is embarrassing in our culture.
I hope that I was of some help.
Take care and God bless.

no, but sick!!! your face shouldn't be that close to anyones butt.

EWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW...

I hope not...

NO..A fart is basically methane Gas in small amounts, but anything can be unhealthy if your exposed to it 24/7 ( but what are the chances of that)

Hahaha ur cool. No i dnt think its unhealthy, its gross but not unhealthy

As a matter of fact, it has been scientifically proven by Michigan State Universitiy's Scientific Department that the toxins released by your expelled gasses contain certain doses of helium, and carbon, which at large doses could be of unsignificant damage. In other words, you can literally get high off "fart" if you were to enclose yourself in an environment of fart of about 5L and if you were to breath that in for about 30 seconds to a minute.

lol that is very interesting but, i think the answer to this question is no

No don't think so. I'm not dead yet! lol

no.

Unless you're sniffin' farts 24/7, no. lol. farts do contain small doces of methane gas and if it was unhealthy to breathe in a fart, EVERYONE would be sick because I'm sure that at one time or another everyone has smelled a fart.
