Side effects of a uranary tract infection (UTI)?!
Question: i get them alot, and recently got a kidney infection due to it. what else can be caused by a uti? how serious can they get?

I had chronic UTIs for years and they never know what caused it. I took all the antibiotics and what not. Nothing worked. The worst thing that a UTI is gonna give you is a kidney infection like you got and/or blood in your pee. Dont forget lots of pain. I know they are terrible. What I always did when I got one was I would chug an entire bottle of water and then slowly sip another one. That would put me at ease for a while. But you should make an appointment with a urologist. They did this thing to me where they used a catheter tube and flushed out my urethra. It hurts like crazy but I havent had a UTI since! Good Luck!

I had a UTI when I lived in the Philippines and I peed blood and it was quite possibly the scariest and most painful memory of my life. I got it cause I didn't drink enough water and it was really hot. Just drink as much water as you can and cut out salt from your diet because salt makes you retain water and you won't be able to pass it through your system. Not an exciting situation to be in at all. I'm sorry.
Sepsis can be one of the side effects (may be lethal) - generalized infection. mainly, what I would worry about as a side effect for an UTI is spreading the infection to other parts of the body through blood.
