Mucus in throat?!

Question: I got the flu, was really sick yesterday but im better today. The only thing is when I was brushing my teeth I scratched my throat with sound vibrations but now I got loose mucus in my throat that I have to cough up and spit out every few minutes. Is this bad or is this just something that might happen with a flu?

It is a common symptom. I just recently recovered from the flu as well. For the mucus I took Mucinex, Day and Nyquil and that helps.
