HELP ?!! shaving question?!

Question: I have little pimple-like bumps under my arms now thanks to my razor. In about two days I'm going to be wearing my bathing suit! How can I quickly get rid of the razor burn so everyone doesn't see it? Thanks (=

The type of skin irritation you're experiencing after shaving is common. You can significantly reduce (and probably eliminate) the redness/bumps by applying Preparation H (seriously) and then rubbing an ice cube over the Prep H. While Preparation H is normally used as treatment for hemorrhoids, one of its main ingredients (shark liver oil) used in conjunction with ice, is excellent for the type of irritation the shaving caused. Vaseline may be substituted but the Preparation H seems to work much better. Consider that Preparation H is effective in reducing the kind of major swelling common to hemorrhoidal tissues. It can certainly handle the minor swelling, razor burn, etc. you're experiencing. If you do this a few times over the next day, you should see a significant improvement. Before using the Preparation H and ice, you should clean the affected area with hydrogen peroxide which also has a effervescent healing effect. You can leave the Prep H on for about an hour but then you should gently wash it off using mild soap and water applied only with your hand. Pat the area dry. Do not rub it except when applying the Prep H; and certainly, DO NOT SCRUB IT unless you want to make it worse while inflicting pain upon yourself.

Good luck :o)

Try scrubbing it everyday & even use the scrub when you shave, like a substitute for shaving cream.

Before shaving put a warm cloth under your arm pit this opens the pores and the hairs stick up and stops them from being ingrown(razor burn). Im not sure how to treat razor burn though soz. I hope this will hope prevent razor burn next time. It was told to me by a dermatologist
