Should I still file a report ??!

Question: Last August I was seen in the ER of a hospital 45 mins away from where I live ( but they still accepted my insurance) and I did not like the actions taken after they were finished fixing my problem.

I had cut my foot while wading in a shallow river ( I never did see what I stepped on) and they put a stitch in my foot. Now, they cleaned my foot very well, I am glad of that. They didn't use anything to numb my foot before putting in the stitch because the Dr. said that would have hurt even more than just doing it and that hurt bad enough, trust me. I got through that and am not upset about that. What upsets me is:
that I could barely walk and yet they did not get me a wheelchair to get to the car ( it was a hot day too) they did not bandage my foot very well and while I was limping to the car on hot pavement my bandage fell off and I had to use the one they gave me to use the next day.
Also, my good foot was caked in mud from coming out of the river up the bank and they

Hey!

I understand how you feel. I don't know if you CAN file a report. Maybe.

But, seriously, my mom had cancer and had to have a serious surgery (they took out her lymph nodes in her abdomen, as well as all her reproductive organs). She came to after the surgery to this horrible nurse literally slapping her in the face repeatedly. They wanted her out of the recovery room, so they forced her awake, and were even more cruel when she started passing out again. Why couldn't she get up and why did she pass out again, you ask? Well, they gave her pain medicine she was ALLERGIC to!!! And she had already done the paperwork infoming them of that fact.

Well, she almost died because she couldn't breathe, and they started forcing ice down her throat when she already couldn't get any air in, AND still slapped her.

Finally she starts to get better, and the nurse wheels her to her hospital room. When they get there, the nurse forces my mother to get up and crawl over to her own bed. Now, see it wasn't like there wasn't anyone there to help. The nurse made my mother help herself, and, meanwhile, ordered the big, strong male nurse who had come specifically to help my mom to her bed, NOT to help her.

If that wasn't bad enough, later on my aunt went to sit on the floor because there wasn't enough chairs in the hospital room, and got a dirty, blood-encrusted needle stuck in her shoe. Luckily, it did NOT pierce her skin, but stuck itself in the rubber sole of her shoe. But that still is HORRIBLE hospital clean-up work.

And I'm still not finished. After all of this had happened and everyone but my mother and my step-dad had gone home, there was a little mix up in the medications. They not only gave my mother her own meds, but also gave her the lady across the halls' meds. Those meds also happened to be ones she was allergic to, and she was sick all that night and on into the next day.

And, to finish off our wonderful stay, they sent my mother home with a prescription for her to take of medicine that contained an ingredient she had already informed them she was allergic to. She was back in the same, stupid hospital within a week.

Needless to say, we were not impressed with their work.

Sorry I can't be more helpful, though. I know how you feel, but I don't know how you can get them to fix it.

I hope things are going better now! Have a great day!

Luv ya,
Tashi :)
