That really depends on you. I take it you have never worked in a hospital setting- which would tell you what your personal take on it would likely be. The best and easiest way to find out would be to volunteer or even find yourself a part time job in a hospital. You would get to see the nitty grit parts, and talk with some real working nurses in person. There are lots of places in the hospital to work as well, and it may be one area or another strikes you. I detested working labor and delivery, but I really liked Emergency and Surgery. My friend thinks the ICU is great, and another loves it in Peds. I also worked in nursing homes, which I detested as well. I liked the old folks, didn't like the attitudes or families as a rule. Doctor's offices are usually slow and boring, being a school nurse is usually a joke. I also did work for WHO in Africa, which I loved as well. If you are in it for the money, well- you will get it, but you will earn it the old fashioned way. Your working conditions depend on the hospital, and they determine a lot, from the shifts you work, the length of the shifts, and a lot of the penny pinching policies that you will butt heads against from time to time. Some places are decent, some are not- some have plenty of staff, some work perpetually short handed. But if you like helping people, there's nothing like it. I've never regretted being one, only regretted taking on the job in some places. I really think though, it's something you have to discover for yourself. And the best way to do that is to work in the hospital and see. You don't say what makes you have doubts, but depending on what those are- it will either convince you or cure you of the desire to be a nurse.

i'm in nursing
its a good job. you can travelling
and you can work in any field in nursing. so many choices
nursing is not my first choice
and i dont regret it at all.
Good Luck
