Well yes and No. Maybe some people just wants someone else thats been through the same thing that they are going through and get advice off them. However If they decided that they were not going to go to a Doctor just by basing it on someone else's answer, well then Yes I would be very concerned!
Better to come to Yahoo answers than to not come anywhere at all...

Better than waiting 3 weeks for an appointment. Good old NHS.
sometimes it's good to get advice from someone who my have or have had the same symptoms as you. Helps you relax.
Its what its for, so we can all give an opinion. We may not be right but at least we try, same as Dr's really.
I think we can learn a lot from each other, people are often experts in their own condition, sometimes to a greater degree than a health care professional, so I think the layman's advice can often be good, I like hearing about other peoples kitchen remedies or old wives tales,,,,obviously not for anything that seriously requires medical attention though :D
