Will having your Adenoids removed effect the sound of your voice?!
Question: just wondering
Answers: just wondering
ok so im assuming that your asking this because your considering having them out. firstly, they should only be taken out if it causes an obstruction of your upper airway at night, or if you have had tonislitis more then 4 times in a year.
will it affect your voice? not in the long term, it will hurt to speak initially, but adenoids are above the larynx or your voice box, so there should be not lasting effect your voice. I would mention that older you get the more painful the procedure gets. believe or not you can acually bleed a great deal from the operation because the adenoids are very vascular structures.
not very sure. i had mine removed before i could speak so i dnt remember any of it.
