What is it like to be old, like over 50?!

Question: It's wonderful. Retired as of June 2007, married since 1962 (to the same lady), 2 sons who live nearby, one "spoiled" Grandchild (don't know how he got that way), finished my Genealogy project, work part time on the golf course, golf once a week, putting in my Veggie garden, survived a Cancer scare, life's great. Thanks for asking, Sonny (as Mad_Theo puts it.)

And what the heck is so old about being older than 50? I'm 66 and don't feel old at all.

You walk around with a stick, say "hello sunny" to everyone under about 30 and complain about your back all the time.

Hang on....I'm doing that at 33, eak! :)

Old? You've got to be joking! I don't plan to start thinking about being "old" until I'm at least 100.
One of the great things about being "old" is that you can go up to a fellow who is wearing his pants so low that half his boxers are showing and say, "Excuse me. Did you know your butt is showing?" Then you watch his face turn purple!
Or you can walk into a fast food place where it is obvious there is no supervision of the employees, order your food, sit down to eat it all the while counting the health infractions committed by the workers. After you have finished your meal, politely ask to speak with the manager who walks out from the back, in his best manager posture, and asks what he can do for you. You then rip into him for the unclean dining area, food being thrown at one another, no hair nets, and anything else you can think of, ending it all with a most polite, "You've been shopped!" and walk out.
Life is good after 50!

Over 50 isn't old. 60, even 70 these days isn't "old" they are the "new" young.
My mom is active at the age of 75yrs old, she white water kayaks, tell me do you kayak?
My fiance's mom just turned 62, last year when she was old, "61" now even older at "62" she went and got two tattoos, alot of "younger" people wouldn't.
My aunt who is 79, travels to the Greece, US, Canada, etc.,
do you. No she isn't assisted by cane or walker or wheelchair.
When you get over the age of "50" I hope you feel and are young like these ladies are.
Yes, I know I'll get thumbs down, oh well.
