I tried cocaine yesterday...why is my heartbeat so fast?!

Question: I've never taken it before, and I probably never will again.

I did 2 lines last night, and I was drinking beer as well. 24 hours have passed, and my heartbeat is so forcefull and fast that I can't sleep, and I'm afraid to relax.

Is this serious? When will my heartbeat return to normal?

What should I do?

Don't panic...but I gotta say the negative first and get it over with.

People die from this drug. Is this serious? Well, yeah, kinda, if you like breathing. Combining drugs can make the effects of each one worse or cause new unpredictable side-effects. Not even twice as much of a bad idea...more like 2.5 times as bad as the coke alone.

Anyhow. Now that you've done it, you'll just have to wait the effects out. Your heart is racing because unlike, say, caffeine or alcohol, your body doesn't just process and let out stronger drugs within a few hours. It's still flowing with your blood and you're likely getting a bit of an aftershock as different parts of your system are affected.

If it's been a day, I wouldn't expect you're having a heart attack, at least not in the normal sense. Perhaps a bit of a panic attack of sorts. Focus on your breathing...in, out, take your time. It's a meditative practice that can help you calm your body down and it will help.

Were I in that state, I'd be nervous about just going to sleep, too. Sit back and try to relax. Don't exert yourself while you feel like this. Drink lots of water...don't chug it, but a couple big glasses will do you good. (Repeat in the morning.) The more you pee, the more you'll get rid of.

When you're at the point that your heart has chilled out, maybe a couple hours, then try some sleep if it feels like a good idea.

cocaine, with 2 lines is still in your bloodstream, and will be for a while *not saying the heart racing but just dont take any blood tests* so... it should go back to normal after a while, dont know how you could get rid of it *never tried but have friends* try drinking a lot of water?

It will work its way out of your system eventually, I just wouldn't recommend it again.

Just try relax you are still on a high.

your gonna be okay, cocaine is amphetamine, it is supposed to speed up your heart. you only did two lines, your fine. Here I just got this on wikipedia.

The initial signs of stimulation are hyperactivity, restlessness, increased blood pressure, increased heart rate and euphoria. The euphoria is sometimes followed by feelings of discomfort and depression and a craving to experience the drug again. Sexual interest and pleasure can be amplified. Side effects can include twitching, paranoia, and impotence, which usually increases with frequent usage.

But honestly there is nothing to worry about. Just be cool....listen to some relaxing music and calm yourself down.

you should stop doing cocaine for one. Some people have instant heart attacks and so forth from it. It sounds like your heart is not designed to be subjected to cocaine.

2 lines? and your 1st time? trying to kill yourself...your heart is racing cause you over shocked it with coke..duh. You need to try and relax..do some deep breathing and relaxing. This should help, also don't do so much coke next time. Your heart will return 2 norm soon.

I'm sorry, but you're going to die.

drink a lot of water and some beverages(beverage should not contain caffeine).and don't try it again.
