Stomach ulcers...?!
Question: what is the pain like, is it a burning pain in the upper abdomin?, i was told i had a galbladder attack and i have an ultrasound scheduled soon, but my symptoms were different then a normal attack, what does an ulcer feel like?

I had stomach ulcers quite recently. The pain was very very bad! It was in my upper abdomen and it was really burning also I was in real pain! Sometimes the pain would wake me up out of my sleep and I'd be feeling perfect going to bed. The pain just comes on very quickly like an attack. I went to my doctor and she said it might be either an Ulcer Or gallstones. I had a ultra-sound done and they couldn't see anything. I was put on a 2 month course of Lanzol tablets and so far I've been doing pretty well! I hope you feel well again soon! Also the pain would make me get violently sick. Sometimes it traveled round my shoulders/back also.
Maybe you should look up acid reflux and see if you have the symptoms related to that. With acid reflux as well as stomach ulcers you will feel a burning sensation in the upper abdomen. You'd feel it more on an empty stomach with a stomach ulcer and more after eating with acid reflux. Hope this helps.
