If you don't think it's working after 7 weeks, then you probably need to increase your dose. Ask your doctor next time you see him/her (don't do it without checking with the doc). As far as I know, 4-6 weeks is about the normal time it can take to start feeling benefits.

about 2weeks you say you took it 7 weeks ago if i was you i whould go back down the dotors.

It takes about a month. Butyour doctor might have to bring the doseage up, when you start somthing new like that, you have to go through alot of trails. I have done alot. I have tryed over 4 different kinds of antidepressents. I have finally found one that work for me, I take effexor xr 300mg. It took me about 6months to really start noticie a difference. It really depends on the person. It is prob. working hun, you just have to give it time. I wish you the best of luck and you just have take your time. lol it can be hard.

As far as I know, from experience of being on antidepressants, it should be working by now, but I can't tell you for sure. One antidepressant doesn't work for just anyone, you need to find the one that fits you best, and eventually that will stop working too and you'll need to try something new. For me, Prozac worked best for a time. I guess I'll be trying Cymbalta soon. Good luck.
