Ask Pete Townsend, songwriter and lead guitarist for The Who; who at one time were considered by the Guinness Book of World Records as the loudest rock band. Of course of may have to shout when asking him.

i as well own an ipod nano and i listen to it as much as i possibly can. so much, youd think i was born with a pair of earbuds attached to my ears.

i dont have any hearing problems and ive been listening to music this way since i was a kid.

Swallow it to release pressure - that happens alot in air planes.

It means the air pressure in your left and right ear isn't equal. It could mean ear infection, go to your doctor. I was in 7th grade last year - middle of class, and suddenly I got this hugeee throb of pain in my ears. I went to the nurse, and she said I had ear infection, and I had to go to my doctor to get antibiotics. Before I realized I had it though, I had the same problem - I had to swallow or yawn for it to go back to normal.

Ear infection isn't caused by loud music, though, so I doubt you'll go deaf.

you know they say that having buds in your ears are bad because it concentrates the sound into the ear? But it sounds as if your bieng sencible with it bieng on half volume! Can you here the traffic when you walk to school? Do you experience ringing in your ears?
You know your ear has hairs in the cochlear, these get stimulated by the sound waves, too much sound can cause the hairs to look like a used tooth brush, not good when they can not regenerate.

WEll lay off the nano for a day or two, see if theres a difference. But i think u just have to pop ur ears. Hold ur nose and blow out, not too hard, that will hurt.
