Hip re-lining or hip re-placemant?!


Question: i am 49 yrs old and need a hip replacement but have been told by my gp that i can have it re-lined ,which is the best option for me as regards leg lenth, recouperation ect,is the re-lining a better option due to a more stable opp or what,i need to know the ins and outs please.

I'm not sure what your gp means by "re-lining" unless he is referring to hip resurfacing or surface replacement. In any case your orthopedic surgeon will help you determine which surgical procedure will be best for you.
