Hip re-lining or hip re-placemant?!
Question: i am 49 yrs old and need a hip replacement but have been told by my gp that i can have it re-lined ,which is the best option for me as regards leg lenth, recouperation ect,is the re-lining a better option due to a more stable opp or what,i need to know the ins and outs please.

I'm not sure what your gp means by "re-lining" unless he is referring to hip resurfacing or surface replacement. In any case your orthopedic surgeon will help you determine which surgical procedure will be best for you. As you will discover from looking at the two links given above, everyone doesn't necessarily qualify for resurfacing.
Your first job is to get referred to an orthopedic surgeon where you can find out what procedure is recommended for you.
You need to talk to an orthopaedic surgeon. your gp should be able to refer you to someone who can answer your questions
