Yes, there are certain types of food that do. Depends what kind of stress you are going through as well. Its a very general question, a general google search like the following should do:

There you go :)

All the b vitamins can relieve stress, they repair and make the brain transmit more effectively. Complex carbohydrates keep the blood sugar level balanced, eating little and often (not junk food) will generally keep your body topped up with all the vital nutrients to avoid crashing and feeling irritable or tired. Also, water is necessary because stress can be due to dehydration. Hope this helps. x

lol I'm 19, I'm far from any scientist. my spelling may not even correct, but this is my knowledge. Food becomes a release such as drugs or nicotine or alcohol (which are all substances) (i hypercritically i indulge in). i am 19 but 150 pounds. very tall , very skinny, i choose to obsess and hide behind a shied of all reality, by taking drugs, some people eat food to fill this void. addictive personality or dependence, its all the same.

No food does not actually relieve stress but it is a comort to some ppl. Ceratin types of food will help the body release "real" chemicals in the brain that produce euphoric feeling of pleasure. Many ppl with troubles will over indulge in carbs and such to get this feeling of satisfaction, so while food can help achieve this feeling, it does not relieve the root of the stress, so I would have to argue and say yes temporarily and no because now you have 2 problems eating and the root of the stress that caused you to eat in the first place. Sorry not much help. Please read my source as it is best described here. http://www.truestarhealth.com/members/ar...

You should really read this free E-book containing 97 steps to a happy relationship. highly recommended!
