What are the different classifications of burns?!

Question: And what are the characteristics of those classifications? (I.E. Which is worse a first degree or second degree burn, etc.)

Answers: And what are the characteristics of those classifications? (I.E. Which is worse a first degree or second degree burn, etc.)

1st degree burn would be a sunburn. Topical and is characterized by reddening of the skin and some blistering.
2nd degree burn means that the burn is deeper into the dermis layer of the skin and is characterized by sever blistering and intense pain.
3rd degree means that the top layers of skin have been burned or charred away and is charactrerized by blackened skin and loss of flesh. This is the least painful because the burn has destroyed the nerves in the area.

first, second and third degree burns - getting worse in that order.
I think 1st degree is reddening of the skin. 2nd degree blistering and third degree actual tissue destruction.

1-6 degree..6th degree containing consumed bone. 1st is redness. 4-6 are usually only on people that are dead.

Every once in a while I get burned...it's usually over something someone did that was really thoughtless...I don't know what degree one would assign...but, if I ever caught them I think it would be pretty bad...at least a seven or eight...
