What's the fastest way to get rid of a cold?!
Question: i usually take cold medicine and get sleep. ALso, get a lot of fluids. the more liquid, the faster you can pass it out of your system. I also usually eat a lot of soup, cuz its fluid and it tastes good. plus the warm-ness of it is soothing to me. (warmness isnt a word i dont think... whatev :)

I find that taking Zicam (found in most stores) as soon as you start having cold symptoms really does reduce the length of a cold. Also Alka-Seltzer Cold Plus (the fizzy kind) is great.
We have new medications now! Cold MD Rapid Tabs, Zicam, and Cold-Ease reduce the length of a cold. You can find them all at any drug store. :)
