Why am i still hungry?!

Question: I know breakfast is very important, so I've been trying my best to eat a better breakfast.

This morning I had a bagel, half with cream cheese and half with peanut butter. For lunch I had a bologna sandwich, fruit, and cheeto's.

However right now I am starving! I'm eating some soup. But why is it that I'm always hungry?? I don't exercise, so its not like I'm burning major calories.

And also I've been so tired. I'm always dragging in school. So yesterday I thought I'd go to sleep early. But I was even more tired even though I got more sleep.

Anyone know why I'm hungry and tired?

Add something more filling like natural granola, more fruits, water or fruit juice, and vegetables to your diet. Try a salad for lunch instead of a processed white-bread bologna sandwich. Try taking a vitamin supplement as well. It's hard to eat healthy, natural, whole foods a lot of the time instead of just diving for the cheap, processed, easy foods, and a vitamin supplement can help when you just can't get to the fresh veggies. It might bring up your energy levels as well. A major cause of feeling "tired" or out of energy is a lack of good nutrition.

You might also be under a lot of stress right now, which can cause you to feel hungry (eating to escape stress is a common habit in many people and a source of some binge eating disorders) and tired (obviously stress puts your body through a lot). It's good that you're trying to eat breakfast every morning, too. If you're not used to breakfast though, the increase in metabolism from actually eating in the morning might be burning you out sooner in the day because your body hasn't adjusted. So just try to keep up the healthy habits.

If you're still tired a lot, try some light exercise... you might not think it will help or feel like going for a heavy run but even a jog around the block will increase your heart rate and make you feel more awake, and will also help your body develop better circulation and stamina as you continue an exercise routine. And that can really help!

The foods you're eating have no real value, a bagel is empty calories, so is the bread on the sandwich and the bologna is processed. You need more fiber and protein to make you feel full. Also you may not really be hungry just bored. As for being tired if you're eating alot of processed foods and it sounds like you are they don't fuel your body. Try reducing your carbs (white breads, flour, processed foods) and adding some lean meats like chicken breast or turkey with some good carbs..like wheat bread it may help.
