HELP!!!!!

I have a granddaughter who is 10, 4'11" and weighs 108 lbs. While I wouldn't exactly call her fat she is a little overweight with most of it showing in a large belly too. Her belly is the first place it shows when she gains weight. So you might consider going on a "diet". By diet I do not mean starving yourself! Little changes in diet can over time make positive changes in how you look and feel. By little changes I mean things like substituting water or tea for one soft drink, fruit instead of dessert or a sweet snack, or a second helping of vegetables instead of fried chicken or not having a snack when it's only an hour until supper time.. Learn to eat healthy.
Make time to eat instead of eating on the go. It takes time for your brain to get the message from your stomach that it's getting food, so people who eat in a hurry tend to overeat.

Get some exercise, jog around the block, take the dog for a long walk, go bike riding with a friend. During exercise the brain releases endorphins which can improve your mood as well as give a sense of wellbeing. Besides it's good for you and can help with weight loss.

Lose the baggy clothes. Think about it, you may think your hiding your belly, but what you may actually doing is making yourself look bigger and sending a message that says you don't care about how you look.. Baggy shirts tend to make your upper half look the same size as your shoulders and baggy pants tend to make your bottom half look as big as your belly. I think my granddaughter looks slimmest when wearing well fitting clothes. Learn to emphasize your good points and draw attention away from areas where you feel improvement is needed. Never buy clothes without trying them on and having a look at yourself in the mirror. Soon you will know which styles to choose to look your best.

Do something for yourself every day. Paint your nails, try a new hair style or practice putting on your makeup in a different way.

Do something you find relaxing just before going to bed. It will help you to get a good nights sleep and to relieve stress.
It could be anything from reading one chapter every night from a book you like to taking a long bubble bath. Just make sure it is something you enjoy and find calming and quieting.

Try not to worry so much about what others think. True friends will like you no matter how much or how little money you have or how well you speak English. They will love you for the kind of person you are. I think your English is good for someone of your age whose native language is not English.

Take a reality check. I was looking through some photographs the other day that were taken many years ago and the thought crossed my mind, "Gee if I had any idea that I looked that good back then, my life would have been a lot different". Don' t let that be you in a few years. Don't fall into the habit of thinking you're fat or not pretty just because you can't look like the beautiful swim suit clad people you see on tv! The next time you go shopping where there are lots of people, take a really good look at them, notice their body shape, over/under weight, how they dress. You will see you're not so bad after all. Everybody has something they don't like about themselves,.. Everybody!
Just make the most of what you have and the rest will work it's self out in the end.......

There's nothing more appealing than confidence. The saying that you can't please everyone till you please yourself is true.

lifes not that easy --- your weight , height , well being ; --- trust me --- will all pan out in due course .
don't worry --- be happy !!!!
good luck .

I am exactly the same!! im 18 years old and have been like this for about 4 years constantly worrying about my health, my appearance and what others think of me! I find it hard to keep eye contact with anyone in fear of what they might be thinking about me!
I know its hard but u need to tell yourself that it doesnt matter what other people think of you, you are a better person than anyone who thinks anything bad of you. And tell yourself that when you leave school you will never have to see these people again, they do not matter to you so why worry about what they think of you.
If not go talk to someone u trust, parent, teacher? tell then how u feel, it took me years to do this and made it worse, i am now seeing a counsellor about my anxiety.
hope this help =]
remember confidence is everything!!
