Binge Eating Disorder?!

Question: I am wondering how to stop binge eating, I have been doing it constantly for the last 3 years and have gained over 40 pounds because of it. I am so fed up, I am willing to do anything!!!

I have tried dozens of different tactics to try to stop, including going to a therapist, trying to work out at the gym, keeping myself out of the house as much as possible, but whatever I do it doesnt seem to work! I just have this impulse and I cant stop it no matter what. I have gotten to the point where I have almost given up....what can I do to get my life back???

Well first of all, make sure whatever you are doing is healthy! Now with that out of the way, I suggest you start by stocking up on low calorie foods and cut the junk. So you aren't tempted to go out and buy more junky food, keep a note in your wallet reminding you to be strong, and that the craving will pass. Or keep a picture of yourself in there, to motivate you towards a better body. Reward yourself once a week with a piece of cake or something though. Don't go all out and have a feast, but reward yourself if you've managed to stay healthy for a week.
Next, gyms are a horrible atmosphere to lose weight in. I suggest joining some sort of team, a school one, or women's league if you are older. Nothing competitive, but something fun, that will have a team riding along with you to motivate you to keep working.
Good luck!

buy the book "skinny *****" and join a gym go as much as possible. Remember that the more u eat the more ur gonna get upset and who wants to feel that way?

There is a drink out that I think really works. Go to Walmart or too a local gas station and buy a Monster Java Mean Bean. Those things can keep your apatite apatasized for more that 3 hours. Thats long enough to have a good night sleep. Just drink it 1 - 2 hours before bed. Trust me, it really works.

my sister used to be bulimic and it was hard for her to stop. you just need the will power and the initiative... my bes advice is...just eat regularly throughout the day so you don't get hungry, dirink water, and ...eat popcorn! its low cal and you can eat alot of it! (seeing as you dont put tons o butter on it lol)

Buy healthy foods or just enough food for the week so then if you eat it all you wont have food for the week. ALso putting stuff into pre measured bags and drinking water to keep you full. I drank hot tea for like 2 months and it seemed to depress my appetite (which i shoudl start drinking again). Good luck I feel your pain I have the same problem and its starting to catch up with me also.

Stop now before it gets out of hand. Hypnotize yourself to have willpower. Try not to have those foods in the house, or possibly have someone hide them if they must be in the house. Don't buy them!
If these don't work, SEE YOUR DOCTOR. S/he will guide you. I promise. Be sure to eat a healthy breakfast, lunch and dinner. Drink lots of water.
Eat small portions for the lunch and dinner. Carry a granola bar or banana for a snack if you get hungry. Only eat when you're hungry. EAT TO LIVE, don't live to eat. See a doctor! I promise you that you are not alone!! :)
