Help, please, 10 points for best answer?!

Question: I was playing football and i was in the oppenents teams box. A player crossed the ball and i jumped towards it, the oppenents goal keeper also jumped towards the ball. We banged into each other and his teeth cut my arm. Could i get a disease if his saliva went into the cut?

also, could i still get a disease if the cut wasnt very deep?

also, up to how long could it take for me to get a disease if i could get one? P.S= It happened on Monday, do you think i would have shown any sympton/sign yet if i did have something?

you will not get a disease

Stop with the same question or i will tell you that your arm will fall off

Sorry to say this but i think you've had it, bye.

Are you a hypocondriact?

You should be fine unless he had AIDs or something.... if he did... I have no clue when you would show symptoms but I think you would have be now.

aww dude you are so screwed

you can get very terrible disease from saliva

it normally shows up pretty quickly but i would have thought you would already be showing symtoms of it

With any luck, he has had his shots and you won't get rabies or distemper.

24hrs mate and your gone ....its called 5 day syndrome

human 'bites' are not as harmful as animals as we are generally more hygenic. To put your mind at rest go have a tetanus injection at your local A&E. you should be covered if you have had one in the last 10 years...

I would have to say that you will be fine. With the amount of infectious diseases out there now I can understand your paranoia but I think you are going to be fine.

so long as the guy you bumped into doesnt have a disease or infection, there shouldnt be a problem. ofcourse this depends on how deep your cut was.

i recommend that you go to the doctors and have it checked anyway, just is case there is a problem.

good luck

You can get Hepititis A from saliva. Ask the person who's teeth got you if he has this and go see a Dr. right away. As far as i know that is the only disease you can get from saliva. more people than we know have this. because of this we have stopped going out to eat because you never know if a chef might cut there self or if saliva could get in your food. good luck. i think you will be okay.

Sorry mate but you are what is known as a Hypochondriac

First, did his teeth draw blood ? If so, Go to your family Doctor ASAP and explain the situation. He will most likely recommend getting a Tetanus shot and an antibiotic. Then ask your Doctor the questions you have asked here. Your Doctor may ask additional questions, such as , is the other player willing to get tested for any communicable diseases ? If the other player refuses (due to perhaps being on some illegal drug,i.e; steroids) Get a lawyer and let him/her deal with it. As far as research I have done on CD's, you may not feel any effects for weeks , months , or even years. As long as you have taken the first responsible steps, leave it in the doctors hands and if you are religious, in your god's hands,as well. Then you can worry about what you did, right or wrong, in the game and how you can work on those points for your next football game. Good luck on your next game !

hi blinky, hope you are OK, just get it checked out, blue
