Ex-masochist needs help?!

Question: Hello everyone,
I know I'm going to get some mean people in here, so i'm going to try and ignore it. But, I have been cut free for 3 years but, I still feel like I have to be ashamed of my scars. I have tried several creams to remove them. I looked into laser scar removal but it's too expensive. I have hundreds of scars on my arm (of all places). I haven't worn a short sleeved shirt for many many years. I would like to be able to buy "cute" shirts and and not have to wear a long sleeved jacket with them. Any advice as to how I can overcome being ashamed? or maybe someone out there knows a better way to get rid of them... All answers are helpful.. Thank you everyone!!!

What about trying a cover-up made for lupus and burn patients to cover scars? There is a cream based foundation makeup called 'Dermablend' that is sold in Macy's (and other dept stores) at the makeup counter and its really good at covering up marks and scars. It is matched to your skin tone. I've used it to hide my eczema scars on my arms and legs and it covers quite well. Hope this helps. Good luck!

Consult a dermatologist about all the treatments available to you. Maybe looking into Mederma or some other scar reducing creams.

i think you shouldnt be ashamed of nothing... after all the past is the past... i am pretty sure you're not a lil girl... so dont worry about what ppl may think but yeah have a good night.
